updating from 3.41jb and psn

i am planning on updating a couple of my 3.41 ps3s to ofw 3.55 then to cfw 3.55. The main reason is so i can get some call of duty dlc from the psn store using the dns bypass, does the dns trick still work?

So if I dont delete anything from the 3.41 and update to 3.55 then to cfw 3.55 will all the jb stuff from 3.41 still be there, like gamesaves and the gamez folder that i use with gai manager

UPDATE: i updated my 3.41 to cfw 3.55 kmeaw and everything is still there. i am using the newest gai manager and my old games run same. Also dlc is still there after updating fw

Yes, and yes. Better update quick, as the DNS trick will be shut down in a day or 2. BTW: Any 3.50 games that you had to modify the eboot's/param.sfo files for to get working on 3.41 will have to be replaced w/ original files to work on 3.55 CFW.

No need to go to 3.55 OFW first.

I updated mine 3.41 with 3.55 CFW Kmeaw via XMB.
No problems!

is that word on the scene, that dns is going to be blocked by the end of this week?

It's been blocked at the latest 8 days after a new firmware release. Happened w/ 3.50, 3.55, and now 3.56. So, don't expect it to be live for more then a day or 2 more.

should i use my main psn account that i use daily on my 3.56 ps3 to add money into via credit card so i can buy dlc from the psn store, or is it safer to make another account and use that to gameshare dlc to my other jailbroken ps3's and also to share with a friend. I dont want my main account to be blocked from accessing psn in the future

That'd probably be the safest route. I created a 2nd PSN account just so my JB'd console had nothing linked to my non Jb'd console.

oh ya i need to know this also, if i activate dlc from ofw 3.55 and then go to cfw 3.55, will the dlc be deactivated. i plan on staying with ofw 3.55, to play online using that ps3 untill the bypass stops working, then going to cfw 3.55 since i cant downgrade without deleting everything
