About LinkBacksHi all..
I was running CFW 3.55 Kmeaw on my PS3 slim 120 gb and I wanted to install Rebug 3.55.2..
I have used Kmeaw 3.55 since it came out and I have never had a single problem.. Det ps i QA flaged.
Well.. I droped the rebug FW to a USB and installed it through recovery menu, when the ps turned on again the firmware was suddenly 3.01 ..
My question is, how the **** could that happen?

03-16-2012,03:36 PMIt updated from your disc. You've got the QA flag settings for debug updates. Mine did the same thing. I had 3.55 kmeaw installed and had Final Fantasy XIII in the drive (3.15 update on disc) and when I updated it installed 3.15 instead of 3.55.2 rebug like I was trying to do. Take your disc out and try again. Always remove discs when updating firmware in case there's a higher firmware on there than what you want

Dragon age origins was in the drive when I changed the fw.
After removing the game it worked succesfully, thanks again for det tip.
Do you know why it isn't a recommended method to downgrade?

03-16-2012,04:47 PMit is, I recommend it as well as alot of others that I know of (it just don't work for 3.60+ & possible 3.56) there's really no reason to downgrade anymore (except re-marry (or not with new method)which requires F/S Mode)
