I have a ps3 from hong kong region.
I read that the PS3 firmware are all multi-region, but if this is true, why has U.S. and Europe version to download?

In my case, with hong kong ps3, which version should I use?

there is korian FW but because most people who visit sites like psx-scene, ps3news, ps3hax are either european or american they only bother posting links tho them firmwares.

There are reasons why diffrent regions have diffrent firmwares. Im not too sure why myself like the spesifics but i wouldnt risk it if i was you.

They're all the same, the different SCEI regions host the firmware on their own respective sites as that's where PS3 owners from their region would expect to find it.

After several research and analysis, i decided to risk flashing the fw 3.41 at ps3 from hong kong (because the checksum is the same for usa, eur and jp version in the eurasia)

And the result ... was successfully completed!
I am now in version 3.41

This helps others with the same doubts
