With the amount of ps3's getting bricked, i've decided to make a start to unbrick the ps3, i'm in the process of wiring the 2 nands, just flash1 to do now, as most peeps can't solder to these fine points there is a clip which can be used, the ps3 nand or nands can be r/w via the xbox 360 using nandpro , this will be my 1st option which i'll use, to get things started...The following help i do need... Phat.flash0-flash1 bins-3.55 fw.. PS Slim flash bin 3.55 fw.

It is that hard to save a bricked console? I do not have access to a xbox360.

It is possible to unbrick and downgrade all current PS3s using soldering. This is what fail0verflow meant by unpatchable, so if current PS3s are upgraded to 3.60 and beyond and are locked out of homebrew, then their nor can be directly flashed ad infinitum. Here is the setup Marcan42 has (he showed this as a hint to what was to come from the PS3 Epic Fail conference):

If there been a easier solution everyone would of heard by now, the only way is to rewrite the nands or nand.

I'm only using the 360 as i dont have my hands on a fpga, there are 3rd party programmers which will do the same job.

I'm not bashing your methods. I hope you will be successful. May be i can find a technician here who has necessary tools to save my ps3.
