TV category

May sound like an idiot, but why do I suddenly have a TV category on the PS3 home menu's? I've never seen that before, and it has nothing under it, just suddenly appeared last night??

When you sign into psn and then turn your console off and on again and log into the same user that accessed PSN, it appears.

If you have never signed into psn, you won`t have it unless you modify your firmware.

It is basically just a load of browser bookmarks put into a category on the XMB. Can`t be too hard to replicate surely for those who have never had PSN

oh yeah TV category, useless, we don't even have it in US. maybe devs can enable it on all consoles, change the name to Apps and have that be the category for all homebrew. game category might start getting a little crowded

I'm in the US which is why I'm lost lol. There is nothing under it it just appeared which is why I was wondering.

Have you created a UK/European system/PSN account? Won't appear on "American" accounts but will for European/UK (ish) system accounts.

Nope, I've had my PS3 since before Christmas and it just appeared yesterday.

had it apeear once on me but after GameOS reboot it was gone again

Who knows it may vanish but been there for a day now lol.
