hi, im still waiting on my true blue (word of advice avoid lightake like the plague) but have a couple of questions
1) if its the eboots it patchs wont updating a game render the patch inert again, or do you install the game, patch with the TB file patch online then patch with TB again?
2) if i cant patch how do i run my brought dlc? for example i have all the dlc for saints row 3 except clones when i transfer the save file from my legit ps3 in the front room to the hacked one in the bedroom it will need to be patched to the same version
3) if i have to use the tb firmware will i lose out on other features of rebug etc such as otheros access? (i know gaing psn store access is worth more then otheros but i guess i want the best of all worlds!)
4) any really important programs or advice?

must admit im kinda getting bored of waiting and im looking fwd to getting it though i dont like some of the news of tb of late (formating users hard drives etc is extremely out of order and the fact they havent released any new eboots in a while is alarming

After you install the tb eboot patch if you install an update it will stop the game from working but all you need to do is delete it's Game Data. You CANNOT access PSN or use any DLC that cant be activated with ReactPSN, alot of ReactPSN compatible DLC for 3.55 and below can be found around the net but most DLC for 3.56 and above cant be used. There isn't a rebug version of the latest TB firmware(yet) and the firmware is needed for the dongle to work but you can setup easy/fast firmware swapping here: http://x.co/gZKa so you can still use rebug. Also if your getting a legit dongle dont worry about all the warnings.

good answer - 1 correction. The TB patches change the version of the game to 30.00, 40.00, 50.00 etc. You will never be prompted to update them. But like Shaitan was saying without those updates your DLC for those games aren't going to work

I cant believe I didn't know that but I've never used the param.sfo that came with the patch until the Batman Arkham City patch was released but I will now.

Not me. I got mine about 4 or 5 days before he released that unofficial patch. Bad timing, but I'd rather play it from the hard drive anyway. It was alright tho - I got X-Men and Spider-Man TB discs too so it wasn't a wasted shipment

hmmm i need to look into ReactPSN since i can only play my recent games in my front room my jb ps3 has been somewhat dusty lol

no psn at all??? ok i knew you cant go on mp games etc but i thought you could still use the store and thus download the dlc you already own etc, thats kind of lowered the value of the device a bit for me as pretty much every game you buy these days has dlc (renember the good old pc days where the developers would throw in a few maps with a patch? or open the game up to user made maps? awww them were the days)

im still confused about the whole batman patch, seeing it listed as unofficial and tb saying that they will format people who use clones makes me want to stay away from it but i would love to play batman city again on the bedroom projector with out having to move mt legit ps3 ...though the fact i wont be able to use the dlc is annoying hmmm might be a non issue, but some are saying it only works with "insert pirate release name here" if i rip my own uk copy will the patch work with that? should i even risk it?

no rush for replys, the little Chinese fella thats making his way to me with my TB is properly still in india somewhere at mo (its a long old sim/walk hope he aint expecting a tip)

the batman and ace combat patches were released here by one of the locals who has a debug console. They have nothing to do with the reports of formatting hard drives. That's TB (original) saying that there's code in the firmware to fight back against clone dongles since they aren't able to patch the games or contribute anything. If you have a real TB dongle then you have nothing to worry about. What you heard about it not working with some copies is there was a fake version of IMARS put out on peer to peer that is in ISO format. IMARS doesn't release ISO format PS3 games. If you make your own backup it will work.

The DLC issue is simple. Some of it requires higher keys and some of it requires game updates. For those you are out of luck. Some DLC works with any version and some you can take partial files from the updates (everything except the eboot.bin) and apply that to the folder in /dev_hdd0/game/(insert ID here) and you can get it to work. You'll need to get ReActPSN working to do the activations for the DLC that you can force to be compatible

You will not be able to access PSN to redownload DLC, but you can do game data transfer from your official PSN PS3 to your JB/TB PS3 and most of it will work as long as it doesn't require higher keys/patches

It really is simpler than it sounds once you start looking at it
