Trophy Whore –
10-26-2010,06:47 AM
Hey guys, I was thinking about how I could play games off of my HDD using any jailbreak while still maintaining the ability to sync trophies. I have no idea if this would work but I would love any responses.
Basically, I would have two ps3 systems, one being jailbroken while the other is at 3.50. Play games on jailbroken ps3, and get all the trophies I want. Then use the ps3 backup utility to transfer over the saves and unsynced trophies to the 3.50 ps3. Sign in to PSN and sync. Rinse, repeat.
Another more simple idea is to just copy the save game file from the JB ps3. Then load it on to the 3.50, and it should ding all the trophies. However, this method of loading the save game file would only work if the account names were the same.
Any flaws in the plan?

You can't transfer trophies, so that won't work.

Balls. Still got the save file transfer option, but it doesn't seem to be worth it.

save files don't hold the trophies
it would only work with a few games
