Trophy problems force me quit the game!
Trophy problems force me quit the game! –

Hey,
I have trophies issue with Top Spin 4.
But when I launched the game today through the Multiman (of course), I got in the game and then saw a error message. To be specific the error called 80022D11. It says that there's kinda problem with registration with trophies and the game will quit now. After that I can only press the X button which really exit from the game. What can I do about it? I tried to delete the TROPY folder from the game, but it doesn't solve it at all.
All I heard is that I MUST sync my trophies with the PSN or something, and I really don't want to get banned from the PSN (I thought I could just delete the trophies and move on, but it seems to be impossible)
BTW - Delete the game data every time is really not considerable, since the game data is 5GB(!)
I would like for some help.

Did you ever Restore anything on the PS3, cause it sounds like either the trophy folder changed names for some strange reason, your xregistry.sys is different, or the eboot is messed up. Try deleting the game data, even though I doubt that'll fix the problem.

So what's the point?

It's worth a shot if you haven't tried it yet.

Yeah, might as well go ahead and try it. If it's Game Data, then it won't be hard getting it again. If that solves the problem, then you'll know how to fix it if it happens again.

If the game data were just couple of MB, I would do it over and over again.
But it's 5GB! It's not a great solution to delete it and reinstall it all the time. It would take a lot of time. Nobody here knows what I can do to solve it properly?

Like I said, dealing with the registration with trophies, it means only 2 things. The xregistry.sys changed, as in your PSN account isn't logged on it anymore. Or there's a slight chance that it could be the Game Data. It's been a couple of hours since this post, you could've deleted the game data and reinstalled it multiple times now. Just try it. But if you REALLY don't want to, have you ever tried to use a different PSN ID before yesterday when you got some trophies?

I've never been able to fix the trophies once that happened. Your trophy dir and.. forget the other dir because I'm not at my PS3, but there are 2 dirs dealing with trophies. One for the game and one globally for your profile, I believe. When they get out of sync, you get the error. The only way I found to fix it short of nuking the whole profile is to completely delete the trophy dir and.. crap I forget exactly.
I'll log on my PS3 later and see what I had to delete, just so I tell you not to delete the wrong thing. You'll lose any trophies since your last sync, but you'll be able to boot the game.
EDIT: I *think* I had to delete the trophy dir, back up and delete my save game, log off/on my profile and look at my trophies so it showed no trophies at all, then start the game without a save. Quit, copy the save back (not the trophy dir), then start the game back up. This was Gran Turismo 5 that I was fixing. Note again, your non-synced trophies will be lost, but at least you will be able to play.

Either way, unless you update to 3.60, you can't connect to PSN, so the only way to see if it's the game data is to delete the game data and reinstall it for the game. You won't get banned unless you go on PSN with a jailbroken PS3. Then again, your xregistry.sys might have changed.
