Transfer of Ps3 files to ex. HD VERY SLOW
Transfer of Ps3 files to ex. HD VERY SLOW –
Ive stumbled up on a problem while i was transferring certain ps3 files (total size of 8GB) to an external HD, its an 1,5TB ex HD from Samsung.
But the probleem seems te be that the transfer rate doesnt get above 900KB average !! its formatted to fat32 and its brandnew so is there anything im doing wrong or any tips whatsoever would be welcome.
(ps im using an experia x1 to perform pspgroove if its of any importance)

But if it's a bunch of files less than 4gb each and it's that slow, is it a notebook sized external drive or a desktop sized? is it powered correctly? especially sometimes I notice if I transfer data to one of my notebook sized usb external drives, and its connected to something with one plug into the usb, for some reason it will be slow, like insufficient power, but if I use a usb cable with the double male split on one end, which I plug into 2 ps3 usb ports to supply efficient power to the drive from both ports, it speeds up, just a possibility.
also make sure its not connected in usb 1.0 mode, windows sometimes does this for some reason, causing awful slow speeds, fix it by just unplugging and plugging usb cord back up
Yes ive tried doing that a couple of times but id did not helpd right now im using my old acer hd 500GB and its working perfectly so....what could be causing it...anyone ?
thnx for the reply tough
no its not just 1 file its an backup of an game i own wich i downloaded with serveral maps and so on, and its an desktop size with an power plug (adapter) with it so i think that shouldnt be the problem ?
