Transfer games from internal to external

Ok Ive read a few guides and tried a few different ways but I cant seem to get it right.Ive backed up a few games to my internal hdd using backup manager no problems,but when I try to back up a game to my external Ill get a fwrite error or a FAIL error so what Im trying to do is transfer the games from my internal to my external without using backup mgr.Ive tried ComGenies Awesome Filemanager and FTP which looks like they transfer the files fine,but when I try to load the game off external is just has the folder name like BLUS00383 and when I try to launch it I get a eboot.bin error.These are games that I backed up myself using backup mgr so I know the eboot is decrypted correctly...So,anyone have a similar problem or know a way to fix this? I would reformat your external drive with a different fat32 format utility depending on what operating system you are running. Also not all games work off the external drive as some contain files > 4GB which fat32 cannot accomodate

Ok I used guiformat. Ill search for another program and try that. I think I remember reeading something about swissknife somewhere....Thanks for the quick reply!

I used a tokiwa program to format fat32 to my external. works pretty good :p

Ok here's a small update I tried backup up borderlands to my external.I used the USB cable that came with the drive which is pretty long and I got a fwrite error towered the end.Then I used a short USB cable and it backed up with no errors.I'm going to try to use congenies filemanager to copy the game from internal to external and see if it will load.I already reformatted the drive with another fat32 formatter to see if that worked.Also if anyone needs to know I'm using a slim ps3 ti-84 hack using the first backup manager

You won't be able to play the game from the external harddrive..What Comgenie's does when you transfer the game to the external is split the larger then 4gb files up (for games that have files over 4gb). So that means it can't be played on Backup Manager anymore...

You have to transfer it back to the internal drive, which then Comgenie's combines the files, and then can be played off the Internal hard drive.
