Is there a way to get the Token out of the Debug Firmware? –
So I read on a thread that the Token is in the debug firmware, is this true? Before you troll "Wow this guy is an idiot for falling for it", a moderator posted it. Whether this moderator was high or drunk, I still believe him. So is it true? If so, what file in the PUP is it? I extracted it and I have the following: Dots, txt; PUPHeader, bin; SDK_version,bin ; a updater, self; vsh; and File5-9,rar. Also would it be impossible to trick playstation into thinking that 3.55 was 3.70? I don't know much about spoofs, but is that a spoof? Also if you can do spoof's, how come you can't trick the system into updating from say, 3.66 to "3.70", when in reality you're updating to 3.55. Does the PS3 compare your Update file to their default Update file, to make sure you haven't modified any files? I'm new to PS3, so don't be a jerk to me. Sorry I had to replace some of the .txt's and what nots because they thought it was a link,
just ask yourself "if it was so easy why ps3 hacker are working (?) for months and months for a 3.60+ jailbreak/keys/downgrade?"
Okay so its early in the morning so forgive me if im wrong xD
Im pretty sure the token has to do with the QA flagging, which we already succeeded on bringing to retail so further exploration is pointless
Don't Feed the Trolls.
First of all, don't post on my thread if you don't speak good english. That would be you Metion, and damanptyltd it does have to do with QA Flagging and further exploration is useful if you want to find the Token for 3.66 see my point?
The token isn't in any firmware, you will not find it in a PUP. As well, the 3.60+ qa token crypto is completely different now.
Of all the names I'd expect to see... It definitely gave me the incentive to log in at least. :P
