I don't think so. If I remember right it was either a 3.7 or 4.0 game. About the best thing you could try would be to patch the latest update for the regular version and change the game ID of the ultimate edition to match and see if it boots. It will work on some games but not all
someone uploaded this game on a certain website, i asked them if it worked on 3.55 but i got no reply, i would like a fix for 3.55 too so i can rip my disc and play with mods, but it's looking highly unlikely right now.
A little offtopic:
The normal edition (not GOTY) of Fallout NV is 3.55 decrypted unless you install a patch above 1.50. it then the patch will change the keys - dont go past patch 1.50 are you will be fine for the normal edition.
How would I go about patching the latest update? And how do I change the game id? Just renaming the folder or do I have to do something else? Thanks guys I'll be willing to test this all out.
On another note, I think new Vegas the original version was already ebooted (or was it true blued?) I'm not sure.
@YoYoBalls - Not true. I patched the latest update myself. It's only signed for 3.60 and we have the keys.
@ynotrhyme - you would need to download and install all available updates for BLES00901. There's dozens of apps to download game updates. google aldostools. he has a ton of apps. You'll also need a PARAM.SFO editor and this tool http://aldostools.org/temp/scetool_0.2.8_bruteforce.7z. All of this can be found on aldostools website. You would pull the eboot from the last update and use it with the tool I linked you to to resign it for 3.55. Put it back in dev_hdd0/game/BLES00901/USRDIR. After that edit the PARAM.SFO of your ultimate edition backup and change the game ID to BLES00901. Make sure you refresh multiman and try to boot it up. It might work and might not
It sucks because I still have the patched file and all the sony update links, but not allowed to post those here. Good luck
Could you pm me it? Or if the file Is small email it to ynotrhyme@gmail.com
If not its cool I'll look it up myself. Thanks for the help. One.
I try not to post sony code, but who knows - maybe Santa Claus will pay you a visit. You should really learn how to do this kind of thing. Aldostools has a bunch of really easy to use apps to do a lot of this for you
DO i use scetoolsgui and locate the eboot? i did this and it gave me an eboot.elf file?
I downloaded both updates 1.06 and 1.07; installed them on ps3, then i pulled eboot out of usdir from ps3 and ran it with scetoolsgui and decrypted and it gave me an eboot.elf file. Is this what i use to replace inside usrdir or did i fork up in scetools? thanks. Oh lemme check if santa claus paid me a visit.![]()
