Is there a 3.42 PS3 jailbreak in the works?

Dose anyone know

if there a Ps3 jailbreak being worked on for 3.42? If so this would be great NEWS for those of us who updated the ps3. I just preordered my USB AVR Dev board just in case it is out soon.

I think the official jailbreak team are working on this (not sure as there has been that much news it's hard to keep up). Also not sure whether this is just a line they're coming up with to get sales...

The 3.42 firmwares sole purpose is to block this exploit so unless they have something up their sleeves then it's not going to be possible to jailbreak 3.42 ever...

Can I ask why you upgraded then ordered a board?

I'm thinking about updating and using mine for online play, you know things like MW2, after all PSN is free. I have my Jtag for offline stuff.

I was not really keeping up with the jailbreak. Just got home yesterday morning and wanted to play. Not even thinking of the upgrade possibly blocking the exploit.
I purchased the board thinking since the jb team found a way, that there will be another way to hack your ps3. Like with some type of update for the board.
