Can a Teensy 2.0++ be used to Downgrade / jailbreak a Playstation3, on 4.30 OFW
Where did you come across this information?
Teensey and other USB chipsets were used to load hermes and many other payloads on 3.50 and 3.41 Firmwares. Which let you run games and downgrade your system. But if you are looking to downgrade your 4.30 CFW system you just have to download the 999 downgrader. It's availible on Rebugs website and a few others. I would just make sure the checksum matches the rebugs teams.
But yeah, don't use any jailbreaking devices or payloads, just the 999 downgrade tool.
Teensy 2.0 board can be used as hardware downgrader tool. Again, OFW 4.30 downgrading is always possible with teensy 2.0 ++. But only for NOR flash chip consoles. NAND consoles cannot be downgraded with Teensy. Use with a strict caution. Good luck!
Teensy ++ 2.0 can be used as a hardware downgrader as long as you have a supported nor console (21xx, 20xx, and some 25xx)
you use the program NORway
http://psx-scene.com/forums/f263/nor...oftware-94388/ (NORway - Teensy++ 2.0 Flasher Software)
Good luck!
After squinting and reading that again I do nor see that it says "OFW" not "CFW".
NOR seems to be the be the luckier when having to mod, well not luckier, but preferential due to its versatility and support for most customizing needs. Not to say that you usually cant find the same thing for NAND.
Appreciate the info, didn't know teensy 2's had use much anymore. I put my blackcat away ages ago.
Remember when the JB2's came out for some ridiculous price and then the teensy and blackcats going for 15$ could run the same if not more payloads, I have a feeling if people joining the scene now had to go through half the amount of stuff i.e. flashing chips and tons of trial and error they would have thrown their hands up and went to a xbox, but thanks to all the devs and supporters out there it has gotten relatively easier.
