if you were like me and move your ps3 around then maybe you got a blackscreen well if you follow these instruction it will reset your video board aand may fix your problem just putting this out there so people dont have to suffer as long as i did

    1. Turn Off in back (wait few seconds for it to re-set)
    2. Turn on in back
    3. Turn on in front and hold your finger on it 'till it turns off again -
(you get the beep on then the three beeps for reset and it will eventually beep again and turn off)
    4. Turn off in back (wait few seconds for it to re-set)
    5. Turn on in back
    6. Turn on in front hold finger for three beeps and damn it works!

Probably would have been easier to just remember hold left, press right, down x10, hold up (for hdmi) or down x2 (for component), then x two or three times. But whatever.

too many steps. all you have to do is turn it off (just tap the power button, no need to turn off the back of console), then hold the power button till it beeps. should boot up into the "choose video settings" screen.

Holding the power button requires getting up

Also, it makes more sense than spending two days trying to figure out another way to reset it.
