so i was on rogero 4.21 and in my attempts to update to rogero 4.30 i seemed to have locked my ps3 on 3.50...
1st while on rogero 4.21 i downgraded using the "downgarde 3.55 pup". then tried installing the qa pkg. went to "Network setting" and confirmed it was installed. it was. then from the "downgrade 3.55 pup" i went to cfw 3.55 v3.7 and now some how my ps3 downgraded to 3.50... wont go any higher.
i have tried OFW 3.55 but still stuck on 3.50
what am i doing wrong?
take your disc out
install 999 downgrade pup by rebug team. it has version 9.99 syscon so it will install on any OFW/CFW under 3.55
once your there, install rebug toolbox and use that to enable QA
once your QA is enabled, go to debug settings and over to Debug System Update set to enable
now Debug System update is enabled, now go over to System Update then choose removable device (make sure that blu-ray disc or ay other media is removed except the usb drive that contains the pup that you want to install) then install that update file that was found which is ROGERO 4.30 in your case.
Note: 999 Downgrader by REBUG is recommended to use on all CFW that are under 4.xx CFW.
soooo basically. im a dumbass. i already knew to remove the disk from my ps3 before using recovery mode. anywayz thanks man. im on 4.3 now and i got black ops 2 working
I've known about that disc issue for a long time but I still occasionally forget to pop my disc out in recovery menu. That's why I leave Final Fantasy XIII in the drive at all times. It's got 3.15 on it. The worst thing that would happen is I have to go back to 3.55 from there.
If you have a disc in there with 3.56 or higher you're pretty much screwed so be careful
