Stay on JB 3.41 or update to CFW 3.55?

Hi guys, been away from the scene for a bit, I been on a JB 3.41 since the JB ever came out and have no problems with it regarding home brew and playing my backups via external/internal HDD

My question is should I stay on 3.41 or update to 3.55 CFW?

What are the pros and cons?

Or should I just stay on 3.41?

Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated in regards on what I should do, thanks a lot!

and quick side question, 3.41 requires the USB dongle to boot up in JB mode, for the 3.55 CFW, is that USB dongle still required to boot into JB or since its running on a CFW every time the PS3 boots up its already in JB mode?

also I heard about reports of blue ray play back breaking and consoles being bricked? if I update what are the chances of this happening to me?

3.41JB works for me, I go on holidays in 3 days for a week, by the time I come back I reckon it will be time to go to CFW .

I was in the same boat as you, I have a 60 gig phat and made the jump to Kmeaw CFW a couple hours ago and loving it. All the games I play work, synced my trophies and the best part no more need for a dongle, just boot up and go.

thanks man, I think I just might do the update, now b4 I do, since im on already JB 3.41, can I update to OCF 3.55 just like that then continue with the process of making a CFW 3.55 or do I have to delete the jb files on 3.41 before I update?

+100 to that, i have an old ceche01 BC and it was very unstable. actually couldnt get to a save point in dead rising 2 it was so bad. xmb crashed 20 times atleast in the hour or so i had it. tried lv2 and syscall35 to no avail. as long as i can convert 3.5 eboots im stickin with 3.41. forgot to mention that even after recovring psn account my original psn were no good downloaded joe danger, ftp and install pkg on xmb, fails with a code. even netlix simply kicks u back to xmb even after udtating it on kmeaws. psn access wasnt all that great. i ll find the ones i already bought and put them back on 3.41 eventually.

I'm pulling the trigger as we speak. I have installed OFW 3.55, am about to install the KMEAW one, which as far as I can tell has received good feedback and isn't bricking anyone.

Then, I'm going to try Gaia 2.01.

I wll stick to 3.41 since I can play all my backup games without any problem.

Why should I update? I can live w/o psn n online games.
