Split Second Velocity NOW WORKING on 3.41 & 3.55 CFW

Not at home to test but read some post that it is confirm working, see link below for instruction.

I tried searching for the Split Second post from last year to continue to thread but can't seem to find it.

I'm trying to get Split Second EUR to work.. Cant find anything about it, Eboot.bin or Pkg.
I hoped that you link maybe was the answer that i needed..

How to:


1. - Rename the folder "BLES01384" in "BLUS30301" (In case it is not like that)

2. - Delete PS3_UPDATE folder and the file PS3_DISC.SFB

3. - Now copy the complete content of the folder PS3_GAME into the main directory:

So from \ BLUS30301 \ PS3_GAME \ to \ BLUS30301 \

4. - Then delete the empty folder PS3_GAME.

5. - Copy the folder "BLUS30301" to the PS3 HDD under / dev_hdd0/game.

7. - Install the patch matching your system (Install Package Files)

8. - After installing the pkg , exchange the following PARAM.SFO with the one from / dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30301

9. - Under 3:41 restart PS3 without jailbreak and run Split Second from the XMB.

Under 3.55 restart PS3 and run Split Second from the XMB.

I opened the PARAM.SFO in Homebrewed PlayStation3 System File Editor v0.80
and changed the App. Version to 1.04 to allow the game to update. I clicked the 'Advanced Edit" button and changed the PS3_SYSTEM_VER to 03.5500 because that's the firmware I'm using. Make sure Title ID is BLUS30301 and Data Type is HG. That did it for me. Trophies work also.

(Going Online: even though the game seems to put u in an online lobby i don't think the feature actually works. There is always a full lobby in the demo version so I know people r online.)

I tinkered with this for a whole 2 days, figured it out, THEN I stumbled onto this topic. Hopefully this helps u out.

i deleted and reinstalled Split/Second to try and duplicate what i posted before and got the corrupt data error also. With more tinkering I got it to work again.
I followed all the directions from the tutorial, downloaded the appropriate files, got the error. I decrypted the PKG with 'PSP PS3 PKG Decrypter Extractor v.1.0.0.0' and FTP'd just the EBOOT.BIN to the PS3. Restarted PS3. Started the game, and it went into an update loop twice and backed out to the XMB.
I edited the downloaded PARAM.SFO to change just the App_Ver to 1.04 and all is good again.

U really gotta play around with these files. This is the 3rd time I got it to work with 3 different methods.

Yes, run the game again. It always gives that error the 1st time you run it. But works flawlessly the 2nd time.
