Sony to begin making people use cd keys?

Cant see it.

CD-Keys can be broken (look at Pc land for proof) unless you are going to say "Online only"(meaning gaming) , and saying that would piss off a lot of people.

Yeah, good luck with that. Maybe in order to play on the PSN, but I can't see this happening without severe repercussions if this is required for local media.

it would pretty much destroy what ever reputation they still have so it would be really dumb of them to implement this in my opinion

its already been done u need a key to play fifa online any EA sport game actually

Not if its invisible to the normal users.... it'll activate online and register with the console and BRD. a bit like psn games or ea.

The only people who will get peeved are the ones that don't have original disks.

This may sound dumb and stupid but Sony has gone off the deep end over this hack. They're capable of trying just about anything. I mean they have already shown some way out there actions.

They're just losing their minds over their system being compromised. I wouldn't put it past them to try this! They don't care right now about consequences.

yeah but with this you would have to have a cd key to play the game at all not just online anyways I really don't think they could implement this

What about people that don't have psn and how would they register games already bought?

That's not the same thing. What you're talking about is the EA Sports Online Pass that you need to play online with select games from EA Sports. This is a different type key check.
