HOW to downgrade from 3.56 - Private Hax
No going to work. Already been tried on our own forums. The lv2diag.self doesn't have the right signed keys. 1. It won't load in 3.56, and 2. Even if it does load, you'd be stuck in service mode.

It's already been tested and one guy has a PS3 now stuck in service mode. You can try it if you want, but if you end up with a complete brick instead of a console that can still be played, but can't do homebrew anymore, you'll be pretty pissed off.
I think you are just screwed for now.... Sounds like if you want CFW you'll have to pick up another PS3. Maybe try Ebay or something.
