Sorry i think the title was misleading, what i ment was this
I put all my games on my internal hard drive, becuase well i cant afford an external. and people been telling me there is no right way to delete the games from the the internal becuase if you try to delelte it from the internal it still says you used up the space but its no longer there anymore.
    so my question is this

Arcana heart 3 did not work on my ps3, so im going to overwrite it with a different one, but will it just replace the files not touching the space? or will it go higher?

Sorry if i didnt make my question clear enough and i hope some one can confirm this, thank you

I don't see how deleting via ftp would not free up some space.. Or am I missing something here?

It happens when you had stuff instaleld using another payload and then try to delete after switching. There were/are some permissions issues between using Hermes and PL3 payloads. That's why almost anyone that dealt with the payloads during the dongle era will tell you to never switch from one to the other unless you want to play with these issues for a good amount of time.

Yeah, it will in some cases. Really, it's just a permissions issue. I'm not sure if it really affects installing anything on the internal HDD, but it's annoying when the space isn't being read right. Somone should take the fixpermissions.pkg file and expand on it to reset the permissions of a PS3 console completely back to stock.
