Just got KZ3 and its requesting 3.55fw..

i have the 20gb original Fat system running on 3.41 spoofed to 3.50 with the calculator flash.

seeing as though one i have a couple of modded eboot.bin if i upgrade to the 3.55CFW will i have problems loading any of my current games?? also which firmware flash would ya'll recommend? I've heard some work better than others..

And after your recommendation is it a tutorial on here that can walk me through it. I use my ps3 for only single player games my xbox is for online play. but if its possible to go online via ps3 and not get banned i might consider it.

wait for a 3.41 eboot to be released, it shouldn't take too long. I'm waiting this one out, not willing to upgrade from 3.41 until the cfw's mature more and become more stable. I haven't tried on myself, but just from browsing the forums here it seems like there's still too many bugs to be worked out.

Online is risky so don't expect not get banned there is already a thread about it .

I think most people are aware they're pretty much giving up PSN access when running a jailbroken console, it's been a bonus when available, but hardly expected to work permanently. I'd be more worried about the maturity/stability of 3.55cfw than PSN access.

3.41 eboot is out and works. i think u can find it in the backup forum under eboot repository.
im still on hermes 3.41cfw and will continue to stay as long as these eboots keep working.

yeah thats why i ask alot of questions. alot of positives about the CFW around here but nobody talks about the negatives. and im real basic. i just want my exclusives for the system. dont really need online access or games that require them. COD, Mortal Kombat Marvel vs capcom. i play all of that on xbox. so i want the most reliable

Then stay with 3.41ofw. I'm on 3.41 and can play all the exclusives that have come out up to now. GT5, LBP2, Uncharted 1 & 2, Heavy Rain, Killzone 2, etc... All working fine on 3.41. Now I'll just see if that Killzone 3 being talked about does work on 3.41, if it does, then I'm good until Uncharted 3 comes out. Luckily, it doesn't come out for several months and that will give the scene more time to mature.

yeah those are all the games i got. I had so much problem installing the Grand Turismo i joined gamefly to get that and 4 others. im sure they wonder how i get a game and ship it back the same day lol

+1 on getting a link for a good 3.41 KZ3 Eboot.bin. I don't have the game yet, but I will in a few days, so I want to be prepared when the time comes.

GT5 didn't give me any issues, using a 3.41 eboot and running it in patch mode worked perfect for me.
Gamefly is awesome, isn't it? I had it for about 3 months, did wonders for me! Gamefly really is the best thing since sliced bread....

I can understand your hesitation to upgrade to CFW.. it took me awhile to upgrade to 3.41 & lose Linux when the dongles first arrived.
There are no negatives though, it's just simply easier. No need to wait for modded EBOOT's, no power cycle between reboots, can update your games.
If you REALLY want to stay on 3.41 then make your own 3.41 MFW and save the hassle of the power cycle at least

I can't say I've seen any reports of MFW Builder bricking consoles
