My 9 year old son is like this already. If we have a screwdriver for it then he's wanting to take it apart. For Christmas he got his very own computer... The thing was that it was all in parts. He had to build the machine himself. He did almost everything to the machine under my supervision. He was very careful and took real good care of all the components, screws, and everything. He got the machine all together and even grabbed the Windows 7 cd and started the install. He's now one happy 9 year old that can finally play Minecraft on his own computer in is own room.

It also helps that he's been around things like this since he was real young.

    Same here, updated to 3.55...

Now with all there keys and tools came up the last days, is it possible that there will be a custom 3.55 soon with JB ability? Or even a downgrade solution for 3.55??

I was like this when i was a kid. I was the only one in the house that could hook up the video game systems or program and use most of the electronics. and i was only 2-3 at the time.I remember i got a kid style circuit board for Christmas one year. It had many lil example of running leds, a radio, light, horn, etc all from connecting the different wired and resistor, transistor combinations. It was especially fun when it died and i got to take it apart to fix the problem with it. i could even program those old school 80's vcr that no one knew how to.

I'm kinda afraid what my kids would do if I have any of my own loins(got two but not technically mine). I would be afraid that i would come home find most of the houses electronics laying in pieces then in the process of putting things back together we find out we lost exactly 1 screw to every item in the house.(my curse with electronics always 1 screw vanishes no matter what i do)

I think what will happen is...
Someone will bring out a custom firmware that your PS3 thinks is the new Sony firmware. That update will include loads of debug things ect, and the install package files from USB option.
Its that simple, just need someone to code it lol.

I think the best thing that could be done is if they made it so that full dubug firmware installed properly on a retail console.
