So, how screwed am I now? My daughter updated 3.41 to 3.55!

So, I've had my machine disconnected from the internet for a while once I noticed that it was on 3.41. I didn't want any updates or anything done so I disabled the network. On NYE my daughter had some friends over and decided to re-enable the network, updated to 3.55 just so they could watch Netflix.

I've been reading about the new keys released and I was wondering how screwed am I now that my PS3 is on 3.55? I do have an Maximus AVR USB that I purchased some time ago, but never got around to doing anything with it.

I'm hoping that now that the PS3's doors have been blown open we'll see PSP type hacks. Hopefully I'm not that screwed now with these new keys out in the open.

You should be fine, we should have a solution in hours, days, or weeks now, The Scene is progressing VERY fast. Don't sweat, all you can do is sit back and relax, the hard part is already done.

Ya do know if it wasn't for kids, then you wouldn't be here. You were once, or still are, a kid yourself. Until you're a parent you really don't realize how precious kids really are. My kids are freaking awesome but they do screwup every now and then. Not having 3.41 isn't the end of the world for me. I have faith in the PS3 hacking community and they will find a way.

This is not a big deal, no need to rush on another ps3 or anything. As the hackers pulled off a check-mate on Sony.
They can't do anything too rash like update the keys, that's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Sony might have to live with this, whether they patch the hole on new hardware is irrelevant as the cat is out of the bag and the keys won't be changed, or every single game,app,ps3's will cease to function as they rely on these keys.

HA!! My daughter did the exact same thing to me. She wanted to see if her friends were online so she jumped on MY ps3. Thats right. We have more than 1 ps3. To be exact we have 4 and of all the ps3's to get on she chose mine. She updated it to 3.55... Was so mad. Now I own 5 ps3 and everyone in my house has been instructed to NEVER TOUCH my ps3. So far so good. Be patient man. I'm sure a 3.5x solution will emerge soon.

see when I was a kid I got tired of blowing air in my nintendo cardriges, so my dad found our NES taken apart so I could clean the contacts on the 40 pin connector, he was mad at first then he realized I fixed the machine so the anger went away, I expect my 7 month old to take some 360's and PS3's apart also.
