Skyrim Fix Not Working?
Skyrim Fix Not Working? –
so I have the US version of the Skyrim V. I wonder if anyone out there has tested the patch. I replaced the eboot and the param file, replacing them in the same folder as the original, and copy the whole thing to my external drive. I take my external drive to my PS3 and turn it on, load multiman, see the Skyrim game, press X, it loads the PS3 XMB, I scroll down to the disc (I have a real disc in the drive and every other game works this way), and pres X.
I get the notifier that I need to upgrade the system software. "To use this software, you must update the system software. The system will quit this software and start a system software update." I can press cancel and continue. Next it says, "This game saves data automatically at certain points Do not switch off..." I have to press X to continue, then the download of the game data starts. It says, "Installing game data, please wait. Do not power off..." I don't have a choice. I quickly power off. I start back up and I see there is game data in the Game Data Utility folder again.
I am sure I am missing something.
I tried copying the game to the PS3 HDD and no luck.
I deleted the game data utility for skyrim from the top of the games list and still nothing.
In multiman, I changed the game options to state it's from the internal drive. No go.

You need to let the mandatory game data install.
Excellent. So I let the update happen?

No, don't update the game. And definitely don't update your firmware.
This is the game installing data, not an update.

Reason: Last line.
Thank you. So this is safe to do?
Yes, cancel the game update, but let the game install. If you want to be 100% sure, then disable the Internet dung the whole process.
Worked like a charm! Thanks!
