Should I take the "wait and see approach"?

I did not think of it that way. When I first heard of the PSJailbreak I wanted it, no matter the cost..I would have gladly coughed up the cash, but now, with the PS Groove being out..I will just go that route, but I cant do it myself so someone here is ordering it and if it works, he will sell it to me. I dont have the programming knowledge to make it work so this way its already done for me I just have to plug it in and go(He ordered the blackcat thing) So all of the games that work for the PSJailbreak will work for the PS groove since its the same software/hardware..Thanks I really appreciate you answering my questions. I am SO new at this so of course I had a zillion questions

@Lakerfanalways I know what you mean, but writing a hex file that has already been compiled to a usb device is no biggie. You should give it a go. Will save some dough

Yeah, the directions for writing the hex file to the card make it easy as cake. Not sure about the blackcats one, but the USBKey was nothing.

Yeah trust me, I want to save some dough..but I just dont want to end up making a huge mistake and paying for it later on and having to end up buying the PSJailbreak at the end..I tell ya I have learned so much stuff over the past few weeks my head is spinning from all this stuff LOL. I just want something that works, allows me to back up my games, and will continue to work down the line on future games. that's it..hopefully this PS Groove thing will do that..has anyone tested some of the games that are confirmed working on the PS Jailbreak on the PS groove, would be interesting to see if it is the same thing and both work

Yeah I cant find that USBKey anywhere..it was sold out by the time I decided to go ahead and get one

I know..that is why I want to see what happens on Tuesday, when some more games will be released, will be interesting to know if they work

Guarantees of any kind are non existent in all homebrew communities. Unfortunately that is the nature of it

I know I've missed my chance to grab a usb dev kit but I think it'd be good to wait and see what comes of all this rapid development. I mean think back a week and no one would've thought an Open Source jailbreak for the PS3 would be out so soon but now there are developments for Androids, PSPs and what not.

I hope you're not referring to Eavpsp (or whatever his name is) because he will not be producing anything. Tbh, he's partially the reason why I waited so long. But it's not a big deal anymore. I think I want to purchase the Ps3key without having to deal with the flashing hassle. I can just plug it in and go. In addition, hackers will be making stuff for the boards, Stinger, Xx3, Ps3key, and maybe even PSJailbreak.
