Should I take the "wait and see approach"?

I've been thinking about all the progress the ps3 has made in the last few weeks, and I think it's amazing. However, I didn't jump in on the "psgroove" craze. Now, I'm not sure if I should jump in and find some kind of thing or if I should wait a few weeks and see how everything plays out. What do you guys think?

Well you'll probably have to wait because the boards/chips (whatever there called) are in very short supply since the announcement of PSGroove.

I already found boards available--still. I'm leaning towards "biting the bullet" now, though.

I know how you feel..I was going to say "Screw it, just cough up the cash and get the PSJailbreak" because at least that one is under warranty, if it does not work I can get my money back, with PS Groove we are basically on our own, if it stops working thats it..so I really dont know what to do..if they are both truly the same thing I will just go the PS Groove route, but supposedly the PSJailbreak will now have NTFS support(that is the rumor at least, dont know if its true or not) so I am not sure if we can do that on the PS Groove, unless its just software based and we can do it..so I am really conflicted, I really dont know what is the best option right now

NTSC has to be software based, either through the dongle's software or an homebrew app (which both should easily be converted to a PSGroove now.)
Also, PSJailbreak won't cover PS3 system changes under their warrenty though, so it will only protect you if the Dongle breaks.

Under warranty for what? PSJailbreak does not guarentee against Sony blocking them. Also, this will never break unless your extremely careless with it.
Also, what do you think people with PSGroove use? They use the same tool as PSJailbreak. The homebrew is what makes it work, not the PSGroove.
I am also sure any updates will be replicated on the PSGroove. If there is one thing I know in my many years of this stuff, is that you can always trust a homebrew dev over a company making money.
I am looking at you Wiikey V1! Good thing there was homebrew support or I would be screwed.

I did not think of it that way. When I first heard of the PSJailbreak I wanted it, no matter the cost..I would have gladly coughed up the cash, but now, with the PS Groove being out..I will just go that route, but I cant do it myself so someone here is ordering it and if it works, he will sell it to me. I dont have the programming knowledge to make it work so this way its already done for me I just have to plug it in and go(He ordered the blackcat thing) So all of the games that work for the PSJailbreak will work for the PS groove since its the same software/hardware..Thanks I really appreciate you answering my questions. I am SO new at this so of course I had a zillion questions

I get what you're saying; however, I think I may just cough up the money and get a dongle. I really wanted to see what Ps3key had to offer; and I wanted to know how the psp thing would work out. But the psp thing seems like a dead end, for now, and the Ps3key is more than three weeks away. I kind of just want to jump in now. But, if I do wait, I'll just wait for Ps3key.
