Should i buy a Dongle?

Should i buy a dongle even if CFW is being released im on 3.55 and with the ps3tools coming Along, should i get a dongle still? Opinions would be honored! Thx.

I'm wondering the same thing. Do you still need a dongle despite the fact that the root key has been hacked.

unless im mistaken...but seeing as you are on 3.55, a dongle wont be much good to you since you cant downgrade 3.55...

But you still can access service mode... ! which is used to run some apps.. So it might be a good idea.. !

we probably might get dongle-free solutions soon, but this is not guaranteed and we cant really tell how long it'll take us to get there.
so imo yes you should get a dongle! they are dirt cheap these days (cheapest is like 6$ i think and works good enough...) and even the good ones like E3 card reader are just ~14$. it is simply always better to have a a 2nd option in case the other one doesnt work that well. fact is, dongles wont be useless for quite some time (and after that theres still plenty of stuff u can do with them anyway).
so go get one
/edit: if u have 3.55 the dongle obv wont help you atm, but imo its still a good investment to get one. if ur unsure, wait for a solution (eg 3.55 downgrade or something like that) and then get the dongle, coz right now u wouldnt be able to use it anyway.

Does anybody know a trusted seller that ships to the US where I can get one of these dongles? I read the PS Jailbreak FAQ but the sites listed there either no longer exist or were later labeled as fake (www.shoppsjailbreak.com).
