PSN Demo Installer & Demo Manager Released – Install PSN Content on your Hacked PS3! | PS3 Hacks :: PS3 Homebrew :: PS3 Downloads

But if you are running the latest payload then you can install them via INSTALL/PACKAGES off the root directory of your USB hard drive or dongle.

That was not the answer I expected. I want to send my downloaded game updates from laptop to PS3. To which PS3 folder should I send the updates? Because sending game updates to external hdd and plugging it to PS3 is a waste of time comparing to FTP.

hmm if you can unpack them (only with debug updates), then you can copy it into the folder /games into a directory named with the id tag (BLES0001 e.g)

I am using p3go on latest firmware, does that mean i can just put RETAIL updates on my dongle and install via xmb installpackages?...no need to do the demoinstaller, then copy/ftp over, run while not in jb mode...etc..?

here's how I do it works for me:
    1) install Mhu Free Store, signup and download something
    2) open your ftp, copy update to/dev_hdd0/PKDIR, close ftp
    3) open Mhu free store, choose pkg install/ mount folder, exit
    4) your update files are now listed under install package files

    Might be worth testing though.
I did it a few weeks ago, while i played around and i think it worked.

Yeah and it is a bunch of work to unpack the debug updates and copy them to the internal harddrive.
I personally use retail updates with my usb stick.
