    Hello Gentlemen (and ladies)
I have a few questions and hopefully someone will be able to provide me some assistance or at least point me in the correct direction (please excuse my ignorance ahead of time and do not flame me for not reading first; as I have been trying to figure out what to do for quite a bit now and have read through A LOT of stuff )
I am currently using a PS3break , downgraded my Fat PS3 to 3.41 (but have the software via the Break that shows the Firmware as 3.55). I am currently loading backup images off an internal (and external) drives using a few different things (backup loader, open manager, multiman). I have a majority of them externally but have MVC3 on my internal (and used Comingie’s (SP) file manager to transfer a 3.41 eboot into the Internal folder (seems like I located it correctly as it loads with multiman – discless)

What I am looking to figure out: I am aware there is the ability to load images directly from the XMB (without the use of the dongle) once you install the image and the eboot onto the internal drive. I am looking for a SIMPLE walkthrough on what I need to do to be able to do this (in a 3.41 environement; or via a 3.55 CFW upgrade). I just can not figure it out!! Please help me

The other situation I am looking to fix is my BD player crashed when I downgraded. I know there is DRLTools to ‘try’ to fix it (as long as you have acess to the largest BD you have played in the system) I “hope” I have that Disc and am willing to try to do the DRLTool steps but I don’t have access to a BD-rom drive on a PC (and I am not too comfortable downgrading my ps3 to install linux to run the program (I’m just not confident in my linux knowledge to try to use it). Is there any other current options (would even go so far as to reinstall the OS if needed) any help would be greatly appreciate

    Thank you all

You should switch to Kmeaw 3.55 and then just use MM to load all your games. No dongle needed.

As far as your BD playback, what is the disc you think it is? Besides having a BD drive on a PC or installing Linux (which you can do on CFW 3.55), You can't get it from the disc.

This thread has a document somewhere with a list of drls uploaded from other discs. http://psx-scene.com/forums/f6/worki...-script-73780/ (A Working Way To Restore Your Blu-Ray Playback! - Now with easy to use PHP Script!)

    Good luck!
    Launch CECHA01 60GB now 500GB
    Kmeaw 3.55 CFW
    multiMAN 2.03.00

-The only disc a PS3 can rip is a PS3 Game Disc!
-New versions of multiMAN can be installed over old ones, no need to uninstall!
-If your games won't work, have you installed BDEMU2?

Met, thank you for your reply, the help is appreciated. I am going to do research on Kmeaw 3.55 (and will probably be the route I am going to take) but I guess (and please correct me if i'm wrong) that you still will need to load Multiman from the XMB (them load the images from the multiman browser). That is a HUGE improvement over my current loading process but what I was looking to figure how to do, was to load the images right from the XMB (so they show up right under the games tab in the XMB) . I'm fairly sure it is possible to do this jsut no idea how.

As for the BR movie, it is the Digital Leisure version of Space Ace (which technically is a movie, I believe). I'm going to look through the link you send and see if i can find any further.

Thanks again (and if you could provide any further clarification for me, it would be helpful)

What you want is the eboot/pkg method to play games from the XMB. There are a couple of different threads about this. Check http://psx-scene.com/forums/f187/%5B...-eboots-74649/ ([EASIEST GUIDE YET] BDVD into HDD/USB/CF/MS/SD EBOOTs.) and other tutorial threads like it for creating your own packages. I believe there is a whole thread dedicated to already created eboot/pkg's for 3.55 (can only find 3.41 files atm).

Hello Chesh, thank you , this is what i was/am looking to do. As I am still on 3.41 , would be a great help if you were able to post the link for the 3.41 self eboot.pkg thread. I have been scouring the forum but i can't seem to find it. I will keep looking (as i am one to take the easy way out; i.e. use the already created eboots - rather than try to create them myself
    Thank you once again
