Save HD space –
I have just ripped just about my entire game collection to my HD but I am running out of room with only a few games left. I know a very simple solution is to buy a bigger HD but if I don't need to I don't want to. I remember reading somewhere on here about a program that scans your game structure and removes all firmware updates, extra language, and extra features that werent needed to make game rips smaller. Hell I remember trying it out once, but at the time I only owned a couple games and I preferred my games in tact as opposed to saving 1 gig. Now I don't remember for the life of me what the program was called. The closest I found in my search was using ASTOOLS but it only does one game at a time and doesn't get everything.
Can anyone help my memory?
I have never seen such program myself, but none the less - deleting the firmware update in game and extra languages is pretty easy to do yourself via FTP.
Well I found it. It's part of aldostools called ps3rip. And I would have loved to do it all manually if it were easy. After running the program I freed 30GB from my HD, 8 GB from firmware which would have been easy and 22 GB from languages (about 12000 files) which would not have been fun to do manually.
