I was wondering since sony blocked third party usb's from being read with the newer firmwares.

They could never do that to the sata port because all harddrives are third party

so I was wondering why no one has tried to go through that route to jail break it by maybe doing something like sodering a atmel chip to a solid state drive ?

or creating a Jailbreak device that is connected via sata instead of usb

    or even

Newegg.com - VANTEC CB-ISATAU2 SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter a sata to USB device to use existing jailbreak devices ?

That is an absolutely disgusting answer to give to anyone!!!

You do know that people learn by asking questions about something that they do not understand!!!

If you're so fantastic that you can be so condescending to another member here, then feel free to spell it out to them, rather than try and be a smart arse!!

Ok then, I'll spell it out just for you:

The blocking of 3rd party usb devices has nothing to do with the jailbreak, it's an exploit that was fixed. This is why you can still downgrade with all those different dongles and devices. Furthermore, Sata and usb are entirely different things, its like asking if you can jailbreak with bluetooth, the optical port or a chicken.

I have no problem with people making discussion and such, but it helps to have a clue about how even the most basic aspects of the jailbreak work.
