Rogero CFW4.30 and Darksiders II
Rogero CFW4.30 and Darksiders II –
11-04-2012,03:45 PM
I just updated to Rogero CFW4.30 and I cannot get Darksiders II to play.
Regardless of if I launch it from the Blue Ray Emulator or from the home/App/folder it just comes back to the XMB screen.
Before I went to 4.30 I was running CFW 4.21 and the game would launch from there, but would not go past the first 2 game maker screens.
Any idea or suggestions are appreciated.

what settings are you using?
i don't have this game to test, but the settigns i'm using have worked with every game i've tried so far:-
-set bm emu mode to "standard" in multiman settings.
-once the game is ripped from disc, in game settings set for external (or internal if it's got files bigger than 4gb, and backup the gaem to internal hdd) and choose bd mirror option.
make sure those are the only 2 thigns set, all the others should be cleared.
-in game settings choose fix permissions and let it do it's thing (this can take a little while, but just leave it and come back)
-load the game
-back to xmb, launch the game from the disc icon and install any official update that might come up.
-some games might take a whole to load, but so long as your drive is being accessed (light on your external should blink maybe?) it means it's loading.
try those settigns and see if it works for you?

Don't you need to resign the EBOOTS or something? I'm not sure and want to know if you do.
Like using stuff like this http://psx-scene.com/forums/content/...edium=facebook ?

well, I haven't had to so far.....that's why I'm loving rogero 4.30.....i now have 42/130 games backed up, they are all untouched backups, not edited in any way, and it allows me to do all the official sony game udates, and so far i still have 100% success rate. I am yet to find a game that hasn't booted using this method.
that's not to say that all games definitely will work......i don't know, maybe darksiders is an exception or soemthing.....but try this method first, it's worked 100% for me so far

I'm have external and BD mirror checked.
I believe those are the only 2, but I will double check.
I'm not sure of my bm emu mode in multiman settings I don't think I have ever changed that.
I did fix permissions. I think I have any updates for it. I've been trying so many different games and they are getting confused in my mind right now.
This does not have an EBoot patch because I never tried playing it before.
I didn't know there was one for Darksiders II so I just told my wife you can't play it yet.

i think the default setting for bd emu mode in multiman is "hermes", so you need to change it from that to "standard", try that

The only settings I have ticked are BD mirror and external. I set the BD Emu to standard and it still does not work.
It launches, flashes green a couple of times and then goes back to the XMB screen.
Help my wife has been dying to play this.
Thanks
Steve

not sure then bud, you could try ripping from the disc again, or maybe this is one of only a few that won'tplay?:s like i said, i have;t found any yet, but then i don't have this game to try....
but that's all i've been doing:-
-copy game from bd-disc to ext-usb
-set bd mirror/external
-fix permissions
-go back to xmb
launch game from disc icon (need an original ps3 game in the drive)
