It's a small niggle compared to the general awesomeness of 4.30CFW but my categories (i.e how videos/games/music are sorted on the XMB) no longer permanently save. I used to have everything grouped by album, and I can still do this by pressing square on the XMB, but if I restart (or even play any game/homebrew and come back to the XMB) then everything is back to one big messy list. Anyone had the same and know a fix?

Just restarting the console is not the only thing, anytime you leave XMB and come back. Rogero said basically to get XMB as stable as possible that was a sacrifice that had to be made, so no theres no fix.

Oh fair enough then, I hadn't seen anyone mention it so I thought it was a bug of some kind that I'd been unlucky enough to hit. Thanks for letting me know.

I too have oh so noticed this, but you are right it still does not out weigh the awesomeness of having 4.30 CFW. Maybe we will see a fix for this down the road.
As far as I know, my ps3 has never had an undetected error.
