Rogero 4.30 - 3.55 Downgrade - Corrupt File..Help!
Rogero 4.30 - 3.55 Downgrade - Corrupt File..Help! –
So my original 40 gb ps3 with kmeau on it crapped out on me, so i bought a new one off ebay and it was running rogero 4.30 (system info was saying 4.31). So I wanted to start fresh and downgrade to 3.55 or ofw and then back to the newest rogero. So i followed this guide (it won't let me paste the link but its the Rogero CEX-4.30 v1.04 / multiMAN ver 04.11.11 / Showtime 04.01.208 guide from tortuga cove) and got to where it says to use the Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7 firmware update, but then get a corrupted file while trying to update in recovery mode. Any help would be much appreciated ! Thanks
If you don't know if your console has been QA toggled I would avoid trying to downgrade. You are risking a brick.
why would you even want to downgrade ?
at this stage , 4.30 is by far the best and easiest firmware out there ( 4.30 v2.05 or higher version )
maybe you need to resign some psn stuff if you use that but for the rest, just put your Original eboot and sorts back and nearly every game works straight out of the box.
and indeed as said, if you're not qa flagged you might brick so be careful
I sorted it out. I used the rebug 999 downgrader and everything worked fine, not sure why i was getting the corrupted file before, QA was flagged. So i'm now back on ofw 3.55 , and QA is not toggled. I want to go to Rogero 3.40 v2.05 , should I toggle QA before i do this?
Yes, install 3.55 kmeaw, enable QA and then install Rogero 4.30 v2.05 or Rebug 4.30.1 (recommended)

To start from scratch, you have to take out the HDD, format it to fat32 on ur PC and then plug it back in ur ps3 and re-install the FW.
