Restoring file system while on CFW - is it safe? –

I've read that restoring the file system can help fix some problems with some games and make them more stable. I'm having lots of freezing with Fallout New Vegas and I'm desperate for a solution and will try anything - as long as it's safe of course, so I come to you with this question.

i dont see why it wouldn't be safe. its basically a defrag. It will tell you your hdd is corrupt so dont freak out it always says that.

Well, I went ahead and tried it. You're right - it did say that my HDD was corrupt before the process began, thanks for the reassurance. No problems so far, everything works like they should, just gave New Vegas a go again, but it's still too early to tell if restoring the file system helped.
