I've a problem, compatibility list says this game is working, but it can't get it to work.
I backed up the game, and when I try to run it says a install to harddrive is needed, I try it and it fails with error code 80029567

I then tried installing the install from the disc while not on the jailbreak mode, it installed, it then installed a second install further on. This ran fine no problems.

Tried the backed up version and it loads on the XMB, then I click on it and the XMB disappears and the PS3 freezes.

I have also tried just installing the first install and it didn't work, I deleted all the current Resident Evil installs on the PS3 everytime I tried.

I also tried backing it up a few times and got nothing.

    Anybody got any ideas?

    Cheers

ok backup using winscp then send to your /gamez/ folder via ftp

so you want yo backup the bd drive via ftp over network

delete all content then try again..

i think whats going on is that the GAME installs updates...

those updates cause it to crash..
****.. i was going to get this tmrw!

Haven't got the FTP all installed yet,
Will set up properly tomorrow as its like half one here and I've got college in the morning.
I'll give it a go though.

So am I right in thinking.

Back up using backup manager on the PS3,
Transfer it to my computer using FTP,
Delete all Resident Evil data on the PS3,
Put back onto the PS3 in the Games folder?

Or do you mean back up another way, or delete some data from the game?

    Cheers

    haha....

Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people

aint been called n00b for a while, thanks...

now for the people below 80-ICQ

    1. Don’t use backup manager to rip your game..
    2. Rip with winScP (an ftp app) using the ps3 ftp server
    3. You will need to copy the blue ray folder remotely to your pc’s hard drive this will ensure a successful rip. As BM sucks ass
    4. Copy it back into the gamez/ folder
    5. Then test! [using bM duh]
What im assuming for the 2nd time is that the game has the updates on the disk and it’s trying to install them before boot!
I speculate this is the 3rd edition of the game RE5/RE5Gold/Now RE5Gold+MOVE which there are many updates for and as we well know updates are not working at the moment. Unless there debug ones
    Clear now?

When you say copy the bluray folder, I'm a little confused as to what I'm doing.
Am I just going to be taking a copy of the disc that is currently in the PS3 that way, instead of using the back up manager?
I'll give it a go anyway

    Debug one doesn't work,
    It installs,
But just says an error occurred during the install operation giving error code 80010009

Will try the FTP idea tomorrow as will have to go plug into router as wireless is to slow
