Remove jailbreak from ps3

I had jail broken my ps3 just about a year ago using the maximus 32 developer board

I havent played the games since...

But I want to know how to revert back the the original spec prior to the jail break so I can play call of duty disc as the game is saying I need to load the 3.50 firmware...

I read that there is a custom firmware that I could use and still be able to play original disk games like cod and still be able to play around with the developer board! Is this is possible ? If so how?
