for now, all i can get to work is filezilla (i fukcing hate this program it is extremely unstable)

i have tried transit, cyberduck, and some other client i forgot the name of. and they all will not connect.

im using multiman for the ftp server (there is a possibility this is my main problem)

but i was just wondering what mac owners use for clients.

I think Multiman has an issue where it only connects in passive mode. I suggest you use 'Forklift'. File Manager cum FTP Client.

If you would like to have success with PS3 and any FTP Client, switch to Black Box FTP Server.

Cyberduck and multiMAN's FTP is working great for me. Are you using ACTIVE mode when you try to connect?

I use transmit on my mac. It works well with multiman and black box ftp server.
Filezilla is not reliable for me.

You can't be serious. Us Mac users are already on a Unix variant called FreeBSD. Ever hear about it?

I use cyberduck with the original PS3 FTP app. I just enter in the ip, click "Anonymous" and connect.

    80GB MGS4 PS3 Fat w/ 750GB upgraded HDD.

I use Filezilla + BlackBox 1.2.. Works alright, upto 30 mb/s but not always. I used to use my wireless network, then ethernet through my switch, now direct connection for any realistic speed (average 5-10 mb/s).

If you guys wouldn't mind including transfer speeds, I'd love to compare them and see shich I should try. I tried ACTIVE mode, but I just couldn't connect to my PS3 then, or should I use something other than BlackBox..?
