Region free blu-ray playback?

Is it possible to make the Playstation 3 blu-ray player region free yet? If not are anybody working on it? It is pretty much the only thing I want from the homebrew scene

Aren't most Blu-Rays region free already? I know Warners are.

Most of the releases from big companies like Warner are region free, but there are still a lot of companies like Criterion who only do region A blu-rays. And I live in Europe so I can't buy them. I also have a lot of DVD's that are in Sone 1. So it would be really useful for me at least :P
