Me thinks Sony has changed the system nand recently to be able to display his RED SCREEN when an error has occured like the original YLOD error, to stop people from doing reflows, and to force them to paid Sony's high price.
obviously it could be that the nand chip displays the red screen of death as a result of a hardware failure (but what failure?). it will be difficult to reflow the board if necessary to fix the rsod if the newer placed nand chip prevents any type of non-pro reflowing fix to the board.
