Recovery mode CFW update issue
So i'm on kmeaw 3.55 and i've recently purchased the true blue dongle. Being as i'm using one of the older PHAT models, i'm forced to update through the recovery mode process. Now while updating to the true blue 3.55 CFW v2 (md5 hash matched with the one posted in the True Blue mega thread) the updating process aborts during the actual FW update process around 70% and my system powers off and then on giving me an error message saying my system wasn't properly shut down the last time it was powered off and that i should hold the power button etc.
the system is still usable though with none of my back up managers or etc working. I am however still able to access recovery mode, although apparently i'm not sure if the system is actually using KMEAW now or the true blue FW, being as the system lists the current FW as 3.55 kmeaw but none of the backup managers work now, and it's apparently not running the true blue FW because the update package won't run after being installed because it says i don't have the 3.55 true blue FW installed.
How would i proceed to install the True Blue FW from this point?
Also, the actual True Blue dongle was not inserted during the FW installation point as the directions specified for the regular XMB update process, i'm not sure if i was supposed to insert it during the recovery mode update.
Now normally i only post on forums as a last resort because i don't want to bog down the scene developers and contributors with seemingly trivial issues, but i'm at my wit's end here since i already tried solving this problem on my own with Google and the forums search feature and failed to find any threads that were entirely similar to the problem i described. So any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
