I would advise against WD drives for the PS3, they park the heads after an incredibly short time and the PS3 does not like it. It causes stuttering and eventually the HDD will self-destruct. Google "wdidle" for more info about these stupid WD drives.

Owner of a 750GB WD Scorpio Blue and till now I didn't have any problems with it. Even after playing over 3 hours without turning off.

The only issue I read is that it would stutter in Heavy Rain and inFamous. But I can't test this because I don't have any of these games.

i wouldn't buy a Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD7500BPVT or any WD that has BPVT in the name. no one has gotten them to work 100% cuz they dont like to fall back to sata 1 from sata 2.
i would suggest Samsung M7 640GB as you can set that to sata1 manually and i have one myself and works great. no stutters.

im running a WD Scorpio Black.. 500GB, 7200RPM, 16MB cache, and its way faster than the old stock 80gb hitachi that came with the ps3...

i have no problems with my WD, but again, mine is the black version, not a power saving blue/green model.
