Hey. I used to have a a jail broken ps3 running rogero 3.55 a year or so ago. That broke a while ago so i have just bought a new one running 3.55. Alot has changed since then and im really confused about the best cfw to instal. I have looked through hundreds of pages and I've just baffeled myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Updating to Rebug 4.30 or Rogero 4.30 CFW is what you want to do. Just be sure to enable QA toggle before you do.
So i stay on ofw 3.55 just flash it in recovery with the 4.30 cfw? And i assume the QA toggle thing is new because never had to do that before but im sure i can find a guide on that. Thanks
QA is a package that you install and run. It will help prevent bricking your system in the future.
This link should help: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f191/reb...-guide-111215/
Cheers dude. I'll give it a go. Thanks
Here's what you need to do:

Install latest version of multiMAN, plug in a FAT32 formatted USB flash drive into the right USB port, go to mmOS->Select any file->Open in HEX viewer->[SELECT]->[START]->DUMP LV2(NO)->DUMP LV1(NO)->DUMP FLASH(YES)
2- Install Rebug 4.30.2 from XMB:
Download Rebug 4.30.2 from Rebug's website, rename the PUP to PS3UPDAT.PUP and put it on your FAT32 formatted flash drive in PS3\UPDATE and go to System Update and update from storage device (or something like that). Make sure there's no original game disk in the drive and that you don't update from the Internet or else you would install OFW!
3- Install Rebug Toolbox:
Install Rebug Toolbox from Package Manager, launch it and enable QA under Utilities. This is to ensure easier and safer downgrading. You can also change System Mode to Rebug to spoof to 4.31, XMB Operation Mode to Retail and Debug Menu Type to CEX QA. This is to ensure you have the Retail menus instead of the Debug menus which you probably don't need.
No need to enable QA while on 3.55 anymore because the latest Rebug Toolbox can enable QA on any 4.xx CFW.
