aliexpress is sort of a chinese ebay. but with less rule enforcement in place. It's pretty much a guarantee that you'll get some kind of chinese knock off product, regardless of what the pics and description may say. Some of these knock offs are better than others and some sellers are better than others. If you do a little research about the seller and their overall feedback(as well as the feedback they get on a few individual sales) you can at least make an educated guess whether to buy from them.
Personal experience: I buy atomiswave carts from aliexpress for one of my arcade systems. I know the carts are knock offs but they are GOOD knock offs. They operate just as the original would at a fraction of the cost. I've bought 5 so far and never had any issue at all. I only buy from the same seller (who has the best overal feedback).
So do a little research on your seller and try to see if you can tell if he/she is honest. That's really the best you can do on aliexpress.
