Real Downgrade?

Hello all, I have a PS3. I want to downgrade and use a USB loader. However, I would need to use a downgrader such as E3 downgrade. My only concern about it is the information given to me by a person that mods PS3 said to me. He said there is "no such thing" as a real downgrader they only make the PS3 believe it is 3.55. Is this true?

If that was the case then E3-Flashers and Progskeet's wouldn't be sold of course they work. the only thing is your only allow to use to cfw that is instructed to use by the developers of the downgrade devices also you just need a different
hard drive for ofw and cfw. Me i downgraded and i'm able to enjoy the online and offline experience but it all depends on the user just make sure your comfortable about dissassembling your console

Thank you, but why must one use the cfw firmware instructed? I just want to downgrade to ofw 3.55

because in order to use the flasher a certain firmware must be installed i think its a no check fw, are you trying to use the true blue dongle? or are you just curious regardless u will be downgraded

I want to use the cobra USB dongle, which the guy at the mod shop said ran cfw off of the USB not my system. So u was hoping to use the dongle alternative and boot rooms from an external hard drive, but I am on 4.00. My biggest concern is online play I am a big online gamer

you need to be on the cobra cfw and unfortunately I don't think is compatible but check around i think dean k made a multiman update that support the cobra usb

it depends if you like to solder go with progskeet if you have a slim model and you hate soldering then go with e3 flasher btw you will need a PSJailbreak dongle to downgrade with e3 flasher just a heads up apparently the e3 dev tean forgot to tell us that and we had to shell out extra cash to get it but either method will result in you having to disassemble and reassemble the PS3

And E3 also sells the psjailbreak dongle? So I disassemble my ps3 apply the e3 flasher then use the psjailbreak dongle and it will load the cfw instead of turning my system to cfw while allowing me to go online?

No e3 doesn't sell the dongle and go to www(dot)e3-tech(dot)net it has a tutorial that shows u step by step, and you will need 2 hard drives to use both ofw and cfw check out the site it will give ypu all the answers
