Random game backups not working - what am I missing?
Random game backups not working - what am I missing? –

Ok so I've been using cfw 3.55 from the very beginning and have gaia manager 2.07 and multiman 2.00. I've also played a lot of games and had pretty much all of them working fine. However, lately every new game backup I try (and I mean 3.55 compatible ofc) had either an error, black screen or some other similar problem preventing it from working properly. They all show up fine on the XMB and I've made sure the games are compatible, on internal/externas as neccesary, but I just can't seem to figure out what is causing these games not to work. Especially since all the ones I've played before work fine.
Working:
Red Dead redemption, Killzone 3, GT5, Devil may cry 4, Sports champtions, etc...
Non-working:
NBA 2k11, Avatar, FarCry2 etc..
What am I doing wrong? What else can I try?
Thanks

BDEMU?
Perhaps you are missing it.

Try hitting Select + X in multiman. I had to do it for Avatar on external drive to funciton correctly, or if they are games you've never played before, try downloading and installing the updates before you try to launch the game

Thanks for the reply.
As far as I remember (was a long time ago) I have Wutangrza CFW. I've had some problems installing some versions of multiman, and Yes; I never managed to install BDEMU. On every version of multiman I tried I've had errors trying to install it.
Most games seem to work fine without it, though. What exactly does it do? Any idea which version would work for me?

You should really update to a CFW based off of KMEAW like PS3 Ultimate or Rebug. I've never used rebug but hear good things about it, but I think it's not compatible with all models. You will get much better comnpatibility off of a KMEAW based firmware. Then install the latest multiman. That should fix most of the problems you'd run across
