That's just it, games that contain files larger than 4GB will NOT be able to be copied to a FAT32 formatted HDD. The PS3 will only recognise a FAT32 ext HDD.

To play games with files bigger than 4GB you must either rip them from original with the PS3 or if they are stored on your PC, FTP them from PC to PS3.

Search the site for Blackb0x FTP and guides on 'how to'. Multimanager and Gaia Manager both have FTP support built in.

Time to upgrade your internal, Games that have files over 4GB will not run off any external hdd. Although with the PSARC method (google it) you might get some to work off external. I haven't tried that method yet.

PSarc definitely works with games like Uncharted 2. It worked for me.

    Run 4GB+ PSARC Files on FAT32 | PS3 Exploits

PS3Splitter might be an option as well (Used to work with Gaia and Open Manager).

Use PS3Splitter on your PC to split the files and copy them to EXT HDD, use Gaia or Open Manager to copy from external to internal HDD (Both Gaia and OM know what to do with the split files).

    Haven't tried it myself.

    Hmmm thanks for those suggestions...
    But damnit...thats too bad....

Internal drives are 2'5 inch right? Does it support TB's? Or only GB's?

Will there be an update to run those "larger" games from USB?
By the way....i did play Mirror's Edge (5,6 GB) from a 8GB USB Stick (Gaia 2.05)...and it worked fine....

Yep, the internal drive is a 2.5" 9.5mm thick SATA HDD.
The PS3 supports up to 1TB internal drives.

Most likely there wont be an update to run a different file system from USB.

Mirror's Edge total size may be 5.6GB, but it obviously doesn't contain single files larger than 4GB as FAT32 doesn't support single files larger than 4GB.

When i use the splitter. Do i need to run it from internal..or does GAIA also accept it from External?

    Cheers!
