Hi guys. I am very sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but I just have one quick question. I tried using the search function but I couldnt find what I was looking for.
If I modded my ps3, will I use the ability to play original Blueray movies?

oops I meant to say lose the ability.
Thanks for your reponse!![]()
yes you will still be able to watch blu-ray movie discs ,as long as you dont use a cfw that has a lv2 patch built in ,like waninkoko
and if you use a backup manager on a console that has a cfw that doesnt have the lv2 patch built in and then try to play a blu-ray movie disc ,it wont work , you will need to reboot your ps3
anytime you patch lv2 in memory it will disable the blu ray movie disc playback
but some cfw and mfw will have the lv2 patch bult in like waninkoko ,and it will alway patch lv2 every time your ps3 on ,so even if you reboot and go str8 to the blu-ray movie it wont work ,just use a cfw that you have to patch on your own or that you use a manager with a built in lv2 patch ,and dont use a lv2 patch built in to the cfw
What is the best firmware to use then so the blueray isnt disabled?
