Questions about QA Flagging: any restrictions resuling or disadvantages to be aware of?
Okay So I have to remarry a console and I guess the new preferred method for downgrading my fat 60 gb cecha01 is via QA flagging so that I might retain my blu ray playback?
The info I have so far says that once flagged it stays flagged, so I am wondering what this means in the long run. Does this mean that the flagging is permanent and irresversible or just that it stays flagged unless otherwise reversed purposely somehow?
In the event that it is permanent, then are there any other adverse effects of being flagged? Foes PSN still function once returning to OFW version or does the console have any restrictions that would otherwise be available to a regular retail console?
I'd like to keep as much potential retail functionality as possible even though I won't be going to OFW immediately after the remarry, but as I am currently on 3.50 ofw, and maybe will get a COBRA usb dongle I don't want to back myself into any corners unknowingly by doing something I can't UNDO again. If I go up to cfw 3.55 to do the qa flag, is there anything from 3.55 that can't be done from ofw 3.50 that I need to know? Will that break anything that I might wish hadn't been broken?
Thanks, sorry for the newbness - there is just so much info and it keeps changing everytime I start researching... This console has been sitting here for about a year or so since I haven't figured it all out yet!
